It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gilbert Morel (Scituate, Massachusetts), born in Everett, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean (Belmonte); his parents, Harvey Morel and Claire Morel (Deschenes); and his brother Roland. He is survived by: his children, Gilbert Morel (Donna) of Pepperell, Robert Morel (Erin) of Scituate and Jeanne Gould (Jay) of Beverly; and his siblings, Paul, Arthur Morel and Lucille Butler (Morel). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Due to the pandemic, a private funeral Mass will take place at a later date for Mr. Morel, where he will receive full funeral honors from the United States Navy Honor Guard.
