With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George R. Melanson of Scituate, Massachusetts, born in Waltham, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 9, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. George and Eva Melanson George (Drisdelle); his sisters, Geraldine Pendergast and Louise Jones; and his brother-in-law Ralph Goodwin.
He is survived by: his wife Kay; his children, Francis X. Melanson (Brenda) of Marlborough, Maryanne P. Mara (Mike) of Valley Forge, George R Melanson, Jr. (Joan) of Milford and Marlene P. Melanson of Cohasset; his siblings, Gloria Goodwin of Lauderdale, Lorraine LeBlanc (Roger) of Hallendale Beach, William Melanson of Waltham and Lawrence Melanson of Lynnfield; his grandchildren, Michael Melanson (Ashley), Jason, Nicholas Mara, Lindsay and Lauren Melanson; his siblings, Brittany Rourke, Jack Cronin, Robin and Reneé LaPorte; and his great grandchildren, Jonathan, Lillian, Benjamin, Charlotte, Camilla, Rayah and Lyla. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
