He was predeceased by: his parents, Vitantonio Scarano and Barbara Scarano (Conte); his brother Leonard; his sister-in-law June Scarano; his sister Maria Grazia Scarano; his parents-in-law, Carl and Grace Fresina (Silipo); his in-laws, John, Linda Fresina, Barbara, Lee Allen, Carla and George W. Gates, IV; and his close friend Jack Salamone.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Barbara Roser (late Gordon Roser), Gina, Darryl Marks, Christine Conte (Nick Kowalchuk) and Carl A. Scarano; his grandchildren, Derek, Beth Marks, Angela and Gootie Aurigema; his children, Gianna, Colin Crooks and Alessandra Conte; his great grandchildren, Joseph Aurigema and Nina Aurigema; and his grandson Nathaniel Marks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many cousins.
