He was predeceased by: his wife Penuel "Penny" Sullivan; his parents, Israel "Itchy" Cohen and Elsie Cohen; and his siblings, Donald Cohen and Richelle Saunders.

He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey S. Cohen of Winthrop, Jennifer A. Casey (John) of Scituate and David B. Cohen (Linda); and his grandchildren, Emma, Jake, Grace Casey, Olivia and Maxwell Cohen.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Life Care Center of the South Shore, 309 Driftway, Scituate, MA 02066 or the National Museum of the United States Army, 1775 Liberty Drive, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060.
