She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Dr. Joseph Bettencourt; her children, Dr. Joseph Bettencourt, III of Topsfield, Ellen Clarke (David) of Ipswich, Marybeth Gillespie (David) of Bristol, RI, John Bettencourt (Lisa) of Rowley, Dr. Marie Claude Bettencourt (Barry Groton) of Sunapee, NH and Catherine Bulman (John) of Scituate; her siblings, Jack Hartke of Bethesda, MD, Dan Hartke and Mary Catherine Breslin; and her parents, John J. Hartke and Ellen Hartke (Doody). She was also cherished by 19 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
