He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Gibbons and Mary Gibbons (McDonough) of Roslindale; his stepmother Rita Gibbons; and his sisters, Patsy Cabral and Florence Mallett.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn A. Gibbons (Sweeney); his son Edward Gibbons (Trisha) of Cohasset; his grandchildren, Brendan and Christian; his son Michael Gibbons (Maryellen) of Scituate; his grandchildren, Connor, Aidan and Paula Dinneen (Dave) of Scituate; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth and David; his granddaughter Elizabeth Gibbons of Scituate; and his siblings, Richard Gibbons of Dedham, Mary Doody of Stoughton, Rita Gibbons of Boston and Nancy Sias of California.
