He was predeceased by: his parents, Hollis H. Young and Dorothy C. Young. He is survived by: his wife Joan P. Young; his sons, Christopher D. Young (Mary), Gregory H. Young and Jeffrey H. Young; his grandchildren, Sarah C. Young, Jack M. Young and Marykate M. Young; and his siblings, Stephen Young (Paula) and Carolyn Kent (Ted). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
