He was predeceased by: his spouse Mary Rose Rumson (Donnelly); and his sibling Arthur Rumson. He is survived by: his children, William M. Rumson of Saugus, John J. Rumson, Mark T. Rumson of Andover, Maryann Rumson of Saugus and Patricia Rumson-Cooper of Duxbury; his grandchildren, Meghan, Karen, Kathleen, Kerin, Erich and Robert; his great grandchild Amanda; and his siblings, Barbara Reed of Westford, Richard Rumson, Lillian Smith, Marion Rumson, Samuel Rumson, Mildred Copeland and Pearl Belcher.
