He was predeceased by: his siblings, Michael Hennessy, Bartholomew Hennessy, Mary Quealey, Ann Murray, Phyllis Sullivan and Patricia Mulcahy.

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen (Hansberry); his daughters, Rosaleen Carrick (Donald), Maureen DiChiara (Michael) of Saugus, Elaine Sanford (Craig) of Saugus and Patricia Hennessy (Thomas O'Neill) of Andover; his grandchildren, Shannon, Kellie, Michael, Sean, Nicholas, Erin, Connor, Peri and Jillian; his great grandchildren, Margaux, Liam, Jordan, Beau and Liliana; and his brother Joseph Hennessy of England.
