He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Maritza (Suarez); his daughters, Jennifer Briceno of Florida and Michelle Mercado of Florida; his parents, Juan Mercado and Luisa Mercado (Restrepo); his siblings, Oscar Mercado of Boston, Wilson Mercado of Boston, Alfonso Mercado of Boston, Ocvaldo Mercado of Boston and Alberto Mercado of Columbia; and his grandchildren, Shannelle, Fabian Briceno, Sofia, Mia and Valentina Keefe.
