He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignacio Merlino and Eugenia Merlino (Fulmini); his child Erin McMahon; and his sibling Jean Merlino. He is survived by: his wife Margaret A. McMahon-Merlino; his children, Matthew Merlino of Saugus, Jessie Merlino of Somerville and Derek McMahon of North Andover; his brother Robert "Bob" Merlino (Eileen) of Florida; and his nephew Robert "Robbie".
