It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen M. Rhoades (Saugus, Massachusetts), born in Somerville, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 26, 2018, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Willis W. Rhoades; and her sibling James McCarthy. She is survived by: her child Cynthia Niven of Newton; her grandchildren, Chad Maguire (Kathryn) of Newton and Tessa Niven (Darragh Oldfield) of Norwood; her great grandchildren, Thomas, Cameron and Griffin; her sibling-in-law Virginia Rhoades of Illinois; and her siblings, Rita Capodilupo and John R. "Bobby" McCarthy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held in St. Patrick's Church, 71 Central Street, Stoneham, Friday at 10 a.m. (Please meet at Church.) In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Lung Association @ lung.org.
