He was predeceased by: his sister Mildred Hembree. He is survived by: his wife Janet E. (Pearson); his children, Scott W. McKenney of Saugus, Dawn L. Pelletier (Kevin) of Topsfield, Diane L. McKenney of Charlestown and Tara L. Levy (Daniel) of Haverhill; his brother Alfred McKenney (late Judy) of Methuen; and his grandchildren, Katy, Kevin Pelletier and Cole McKenney. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
