He was predeceased by: his wife Josephine Forti (Salamone); his parents, Anthony Forti and Rose Forti (Williams); his daughter Linda Forti; and his sisters, Phyllis Batey and Edith Ciampa.

He is survived by: his daughters, Janice Coburn (Timothy) of Lynnfield and Angelyn Piazza (John); his grandchildren, Megan Sniffen (Taylor), Frankie Coburn (Bruna), Kimberly Piazza and Kelsey Piazza; and his pet Frankie.
