In loving memory of Ekaterini Velkos of Saugus, Massachusetts, who departed this world on December 28, 2024 at the age of 86. Ekaterini leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Ekaterini had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Ekaterini may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband George James Velkos; her daughters, Evie Makkas and Mary Ali (Tarek); and her siblings, Niki Petropoulos, Fani Linardakis, Ioanna Vasilopoulou (Triantafilos) and Helen Papadopoulos. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church (14 Magazine St, Cambridge, MA 02139). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
