As Dorothy M. departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Dorothy M. may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Dorothy M. leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Cook and Dorothy Cook (Cavanaugh). She is survived by: her husband Robert K. Vater, Sr.; and her children, Maureen A. Ferreira of Methuen, Kevin R. Vater, Robert K. Vater, Jr. (Maureen) of Saugus and Timothy R. Vater of Saugus. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home (549 Lincoln Ave, Saugus, MA 01906). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
