He is survived by: his parents, Itamar Alfredo Medici and Denise Lucia Gava; his brother Marcos Gava of Sao Paulo; his grandmothers, Angelina Erlacher Gava and Odete Mattos Medici; his aunts, Marisa Medici of Revere and Marco Coutinho of Revere; his cousins, Sarah Coutinho of Revere and Emily Rocha of Everett; and also Brazil.
