She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd N. McCool and Catherine M. McCool (MacEachern); and her sisters, Catherine Marie Olson and Adeline McCool. She is survived by: her husband Albert S. "Buddy" Olsen; and her children, Philip Olsen (Mary Doherty) of Winchester, Steven Olsen (late Marcy) of Norton, Debra Worrall (late John) of Norton, Catherine Whitney (Glenn) of North Attleboro, Robert Olsen, Paula of Wilbraham, Jon Olsen (Denise) of West Orange and Brian Olsen of New York City. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, as well as her loving nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Violet's family has requested that donations in her memory be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, care of Saint Mary's Church, 1 Power Street, Norton, MA 02766.
