She was predeceased by: her parents, Cardinal McCaughin and Charlotte McCaughin; her daughter Kara Merrill; her brother Joseph McCaughin; and her husband Tony "Lodge" Sims.
She is survived by: her son Aaron; her daughter-in-law Angelle Merrill; and her siblings, David McCaughin and Nancy Jackson. She is also survived by loving step-children, grand-children, nieces and nephews.
