She was predeceased by: her son Firefighter Kevin H. Bracken; her husband Hugh J. Bracken; her parents, William J. Norton and Rosetta F. Norton; and her siblings, William Norton and Rosetta Birdsall.

She is survived by: her children, William Bracken (Nancy) of Cortland, NY, Mary Carlson (Richard) of Sandwich, MA, Kathleen Brown (Jim) of Houston, TX. and Patricia Sample (Chuck) of Woodway, TX; her daughter-in-law Jen Liang of New York, NY.; her brothers, Michael J. Norton (Christine) of Midlothian, VA and Albert Norton; her grandchildren, Joel (Rosalind) of Folsom, PA, Kerin Carlson, Keara Brown of Boston, MA and Mallory Brown of Houston, TX; her great grandchildren, Evan and Ian Carlson; and her aunt Mary.
