He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Lawrence and Louise Talbot Lawrence; his wife Grace; his sister Trudy Lawrence Wood; his sons, Brian H. Lawrence (MaryBeth), Bruce T. Lawrence (Kerry) and Edward A. Lawrence; his grandchildren, Caitlin E. Lawrence, Erica K. Gibb (David), Brian H. Lawrence Jr., Corey T. Lawrence, Patrick J. Lawrence, Jonathan T. Lawrence and Bennett A. Lawrence; his stepgrandchildren, Jessica M. Silva and Brett J. Silva; and his brother Frank Lawrence. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
