He was predeceased by: his son David Gibson. He is survived by: his children, Kathryn Mclaughlin, Kenneth Gibson (Maggi) and Maryalice Shorten (Patrick); his grandchildren, Megan, Michael McLaughlin, David Gibson (Lindsey), Alex Taurone, Patrick, Rebecca and David Shorten (Jaime); his great grandchildren, Zola, Charlie Shorten and Liam Gibson; and his sister Joan Hughes (Paul).
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to Champ House a Cape Cod based charity helping to provide transitional housing for those in need.
