“In loving memory of Carolyn Crowell. Carolyn Crowell was a long-time member of the Unitarian Church of Barnstable ("UCB") and Chair of its Archive Committee. Shortly after I joined UCB, Carolyn asked if I would join the Archives Committee. As a student of history and a 7th generation Unitarian, I could not say no. Carolyn was indefatigable in her commitment to preserving the history of UCB and established a most professional archival system. She was a rock of the church and loved by all.”

“Speaking for myself, and I am sure many of those who worked with Carolyn at Plimoth Plantation, her passing is a great loss. Carolyn WAS living history. She intimately knew and taught life-skills that were lost to many centuries ago. She was one of a kind, and her death represents the passing of an era. Carolyn was old Cape Cod...not the romanticized view that filled it with tourists and seasonal residents, but the one that was settled by farmers and fishers, and she will be missed. John Forti”
