He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest D. Merrill and Helen F. Merrill (Souther); and his siblings, Roland, Bruce Merrill, Priscilla, Ernestine and Pamela.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Jane Merrill (Kent) of Salisbury, MA; his children, Ernest Merrill, Jr. (Renee) of Exeter, NH, Lauren "Laurie" Thompson (Mark) of Nashua, NH and Sheila Little (Gavin Little) of Salisbury, MA; his granddaughters, Emma Rose Thompson of Nashua, NH and Taylor Rose Little of Salisbury, MA.; and his siblings, Dora, Heidi, Kimmy, Doug, Paul and Robert Merrill. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
