It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Simonne M. Gongas of Salem, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 11, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William G. Gongas; her parents, William Cote and Alma Cote (Houde); and her children-in-law, Javan D. York and Laurel W. Gongas.
She is survived by: her children, George W. Gongas of Peabody, JoAnn L. York of Salem and Patricia Gookin (Dana P.) of Swampscott; and her grandchildren, Jaime Cruz, Geoffrey, William Gongas, Kerry Thyne, Ashley Attridge and Hayley Gambardella. She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visiting hours on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 4:00 to 7:00 P. M. at the Levesque Funeral Home, '163 Lafayette St., [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem, Face masks are required as is social distancing.
