Richard L. Arno Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard L. Arno of Salem, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 16, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Arno and Josephine Arno (Bertuccio); and his siblings, Joseph Arno, Eleanor Gaudette, Ann Casellini and Adele McKinnon.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Arno (Horsman); his children, Salem Firefighter Richard Arno Jr. (Pamela) of Salem, Deborah Arno of Salem and Valerie Maddocks (Harold) of Southern Maine; his grandchildren, Amanda Caron (Michael) of Bedford, NH, Alison Ospina (Francisco) of Salem, Nicholas Arno (Lauren MacMurdo) of Georgetown and Jessica Leone (Carlo) of Danvers; his great grandchildren, Emilia, Ellie, Francisco, Santiago, Jaxson, Michael and Brooklynn; and his brother-in-law William McKinnon of Danvers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Josefa Rivera de Grateraux's Funeral Service (84 Washington Square, Salem, MA 01970). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Church (160 Federal St, Salem, MA 01970). A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary Cemetery (226 North St, Salem, MA 01970).
