Dionne Sr. and Cecile Caron Dionne; his friends, Barry Swift, Carl Mesrobian, George Gagnon, Thomas Brophy, Jerome Curley, Racket Shreve, Ralph Sherrick, Richard Julien, Charlene Long, Michel Michaud of Lynn and Michael Crestohl of Marblehead; his wife Bonnie Hurd Smith; his children, Nicolas Luc Dionne of Danvers and Collette Elise Dionne of Danvers; his siblings, Suzanne Dionne Hurley of Salem, Karen Dionne Lambert of Oviedo, Florida and Robert Dionne of Salem; and his former wife Suzanne Natti Bernier of Hebron, Indiana. He was also cherished by several nephews, nieces.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, he requested that donations be made to the Nelson Dionne Salem History Collection at Salem State University.
