It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph A. DeFranzo of Salem, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 5, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph A. DeFranzo to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Vozzella and Mary Vozzella DeFranzo (Coviello); his sister Rosemarie DeFranzo of Lynn; and his daughters, Jody Michele DeFranzo and Maureen Beth (DeFranzo).

He is survived by: his wife Grace DeFranzo (Puleo); his daughters, Debra Orloff (Gary) of Swampscott, Sharon Cody of Danvers and Brenda Schutz (Adam) of West Newbury; his son-in-law Michael Cooney of Amesbury; his grandchildren, Danielle Bettano (Nick), Stephanie Orloff, Michele Cody, Alexander Cody, Ryan Cooney, Erin Davis (Tom), Isabel Schutz and Oliver Schutz; and his great grandchild Sophia Bettano.
