He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Riley and Mary Ellen Riley (McGuiness); his grandparents, John P. Riley and Medal of Honor; his grandson Ryan Riley; his significant other Beverlie McSwiggin of Salem; his children, John Riley, Jr (Jean) of Valicro, FL, Michael Riley of Danvers, Gloria Riley of Salem, Cheryl Riley of Salem, Jalbert (Michael) of Salem and Lynda LeClerc of Salem; his partner's daughters, Michelle Iturralde (Christopher Flagg) of Salem, Kendra Malionek (David) of Salem and Jennifer Vargas (Tony) of Peabody; his sister Teasie Riley Goggin; his sister-in-law Shirley Beauvais Riley of Salem; his siblings, Mary O'Brien and William Riley; and his daughter-in-law Pauline Riley. He was also cherished by his 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
