He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. McCarthy and Mary F. McCarthy; his sisters, Jane McCarthy and Jacqueline Archbold (John, Marilyn Rodham); and his sister-in-law Joan McCarthy.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, John McCarthy (Dawn) of Rowley and Kathleen Marino (Donald) of Marblehead; his grandchildren, Daniel, Derek, Douglas Marino, Jack and Colleen McCarthy; his brother Edward McCarthy of Marblehead; his brother-in-law John Dzierazk (Judy) of Georgia; and his nieces and nephews, Mary Landry, Jane Winslow, Christopher Archbold (Tracy, Steve McCarthy) and Erin Freiberger (Philip). He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
