He is survived by: his wife Marion; his sons, David (Dawn Erb) of Milwaukee, WI, Jonathan (Leslie Leidner Kaplan) of Needham, MA and Michael (Lisa Kaplan); his brother Lenny (Jean Kaplan); his sister-in-law Sandra Kaplan; his sister Rozzie Willis; his grandchildren, Whitney Rose and Camille Maya Kaplan; his pets, Molly and Gus; his brother Warren (Red); and also, Jon and Leslie.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Joel's name to the Parkinson's Foundation, to Magen David Adom in Israel, or to a charity of your choice.
