He was predeceased by: his parents, Geraldine Malko (Murphy) and S. Joseph Malko. He is survived by: his sister Julie Cheon (Rod) of Marathon; his aunts and uncles, Laura (Murphy), James Palin of Peabody, Mary Beth (Murphy) and Eric Nelson of Cambridge; and his cousins, Andrew Thomas of Tampa, Timmy Palin (Michael Lopez) of Lowell, Sarah Nelson (John Candeias) of Lynnfield and Emily Nelson of Roslindale.
Jay's final act to help others was his gift of life through organ donation. His tissue, corneas, and kidneys have been donated to improve and/or extend the lives of others.
