James left this world on June 24, 2024 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by : his parents, Antonio Cambece and Phyllis Cambece (Granese). He is survived by : his children, Amy Lamonde, Tina and Tony Cambece; and his brother John Cambece. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Goodrich Funeral Home (128 Washington St, Lynn, MA 01902). A burial was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Swampscott Cemetery (400 Essex St, Swampscott, MA 01907).
