She is survived by: her daughters, Stephanie Finnigan (Robert) and Jamie Hernandez (Luis); her grandchildren, Gabe, Jayce, Casey and Bennett; her former husband John Tarmey; and her siblings, Ed Karass, Marsha Emery and Mark Karass.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Gail's memory to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
