He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Hughes and Lillian Hughes (Merrill); and also Brenda Gauvey. He is survived by: his close friend Lisa Ghiozzi; his children, Gene Hughes (Gracie Hughes), Lisa A. Hughes and Lauren Whiter; his granddaughters, Nicole Hughes, Ashley and Arianna; his sister Rose Lopez; his stepchildren, David and Trisha Hersey; and also, David Ghiozzi, Daniella McMaster, Christian, Jayla McMaster, Malia Dipietro, Julianna Ghiozzi, Carol Hersey and Michelle Colgan. He is also survived by many loving extended family members and close friends.
