Makarushka, MD; her stepchildren, Christina Makarushka (David Napp) of Durham, NC, Marta Makarushka, Rob Fightmaster of Springfield, OR and Damian Makarushka (Cheryl Crupi) of Durham, NC; her siblings, Elizabeth A. Kelley (Neil) of Hampton, NH, Priscilla McInnis (Paul) of North Hampton, NH, Nancy Kiernan, Susan Santin (Ernest), Peter R. Kiernan (Pamela) of Bonita Springs, FL, Stephen L. Kiernan of Florida and Richard W. Kiernan of Florida; and her uncle Donald V. Kiernan of Wenham. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins, extended family and many dear friends.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in Diane's memory through donations in her name to HAWC in Salem or American Cancer Society.
