It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dean John Avellis of Salem, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 28, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Georgia Deane Avellis and Albert Avellis; his siblings, Dolores Avellis Oddi and Bill Avellis; and his cousin Brenda Bassett Donovan.
He is survived by: his sister Cynthia Marnik; his nieces and nephews, Matthew Marnik, Rachel Marnik, Chris Leiton, Daniel Marnik, Jennifer Marnik, Seanna Donovan, Jon Chmura, Jeanne Nesto, Candy Oddi and Cindy Oddi; and his friends, Brian Corcoran and Ben Parisi (Erin Wise).
In lieu of flowers, Dean would have appreciated the support of his favorite dance group, the Greater Milford Ballet in Mendon, MA.
