With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marcella A. Boyd of Rowley, Massachusetts, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Marcella left this world on January 30, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen L Shumway Sr. and Marietta Shumway (King); her husband Hazen C Boyd Jr.; her in-laws, Hazen C. Boyd Sr. and Lovilla Boyd (Baxter); her brothers, Allen L Shumway Jr. and Halbert V. Shumway; her nephew Gary Shumway; and her niece Elaine Penta (Shumway).
She is survived by: her children, Amy Byron (David) of Northfield, MA., Alice Dysert (Madrid) of Torrejon de Ardoz and Robert Boyd (Laura) of Atkinson, NH.; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Byron (Stephanie), Jennifer McComb (Stephen), Stephen Dysert (Carly), Philip Dysert (Katelyn), Nicolas Dysert (Maria), Lydia Dysert, Kaitlyn Boyd, Kristen Tighe (Andrew) and Nathan Boyd; and her great grandchildren, Hazen Byron, Titus, Will, Myles McComb, Miriam, Esther and Elizabeth Dysert.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (147 Main St, Rowley, MA 01969).
