Mario Vardaro Obituary
We bid farewell to Mario Vardaro of Roslindale, Massachusetts, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 21, 2024 at the age of 96. Mario touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Angelina Vardaro (DeVito) and Salvatore Vardaro; his wife Mary Ann (Petrie); and his siblings, Gaetano Vardaro, Louise DiPerri, Anthony Vardaro, Joseph Vardaro, Yolanda Barbone and Ann Modugno.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Daly (Daniel) of Brighton, Carol Vardaro of Quincy and John Vardaro (Hope) of West Roxbury; and his grandchildren, Caroline Daly, Daniel Daly and Michael Vardaro. He is also survived by his family including his in-laws, nieces, nephews, and his dear neighbors and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home (2055 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Name Church (1689 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132). A burial was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at the St. Joseph's Cemetery (990 Lagrange St, Boston, MA 02132).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mario's memory may be made to the Good Shepherd Hospice Care, 160 Wells Avenue, Newton, MA 02459.
