It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene M. Welter of Roslindale, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 17, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Irene M. Welter to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband John X. Welter; her parents, William and Mary McDonnell of Forest Hills; and her siblings, Beatrice Davidson and Paul J. McDonnell.

She is survived by: her sons-in-law, Steve Casey and Steve Brown; and her brother William McDonnell of Georgia. She is also survived by her 30 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Irene's name to the American Heart Association.
