William B. Hale Obituary

William Brock Hale, 82, of Rockport, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 30, 2022. Bill was the husband of the late Patricia "Pat" (Horne) who passed away in 2001.

Bill spent his younger life on the ball fields, basketball courts and golf courses, where he forged lifelong friendships including his oldest and dearest friend Fred Hillier.

Bill and Pat worked and raised their family in Rockport, where Bill worked in the construction field and operated heavy equipment for Mike Feldman, Jim Doyle and Ketchopulos & Sons. He was thought by many to be one of the best heavy equipment operators around. He also owned and operated Hales Crane Service for many years. He was a former member of Rockport Fire Department and worked alongside his wife in supporting Rockport Athletics at all levels.

He is survived by his son, Stephen Hale of Rockport, daughter, Amy Hale and her partner Lisa St. Hilaire of Ogunquit, Maine and daughter, Brenda Reed and her husband Edward of Rockport; grandchildren Brock Currier and his wife Megan of Rockport and Brent Currier and his wife Jen of Gloucester. He is also survived by his Shining Stars in his life, great grandchildren, Raegan and Anderson Currier and Colton and Cooper Currier. Bill was predeceased by his brother, Raymond "Tinker" Hale and sister, Lucy Macleod.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Hematology/Oncology clinic at Addison Gilbert Hospital for Bill's exceptional care.
