Veronica Paige Dauchenbaugh Obituary
Veronica Paige Dauchenbaugh, age 27, of Rockport, beloved fiancée of Drew Vantrease, passed away peacefully from complications of Covid-19 at Lahey Clinic on Tuesday, January 4, surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born October 26, 1994 in Hanau, Germany.
Veronica's sudden passing leaves us without her gallons of colorful hair dye, mountains of make-up, and liters of glittering nail polish. She was a creative soul who brought vibrant color and passion to all who knew her, in many ways. She was an avid writer who shared her stories with family and friends all over the country, inspiring others to pursue their own imaginations. She always encouraged others to follow their hearts and be true to themselves, and never be afraid to express oneself. She would excitedly talk about her many passions, such as her favorite Disney movie series "Descendants," the TV show "Charmed," the "Harry Potter" series, and several different video games, which she enjoyed to the fullest with many online friends. Veronica was actively studying Psychology, as she desired to help others through their struggles and make their lives brighter and happier, particularly transgender youth.
In addition to Drew Vantrease, Veronica is survived by her treasured sister Alecia Howe, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond, brother-in-law Brennan Howe, and their children, Gracilyn and Asher; her much-loved grandmother, whom she affectionately called "Grammy," Maryann Schwantes; future mother-in-law Paulette Vantrease; future sister-in-law Callista.
Vantrease; and future father-in-law Justin Vantrease.
There will be no funeral service at this time, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to help defray medical and funeral expenses can be made online at https://gofund.me. Arrangements by the Greely Funeral Home 212 Washington Street, Gloucester.
