Samuel P. Lovasco Obituary
Sam Lovasco, 96, husband of Muriel (Day) Lovasco passed away peacefully in his sleep. He was the fifth of eight brothers and sisters, son of Paolo and Stefanie (Ventimiglia) Lovasco.
Sam and Murial had a very full life together full of love, travel, and fun. Sam spent many years, hardworking, on the waterfront starting in his early teens, retiring in 1990 from the Gloucester Seafood Union. One of his favorite past times was playing golf at the Rockport Golf Club. As Sam and Muriel got on in age they moved to the Herrick House in Beverly, where they received excellent companionship and care. A deep heartfelt thanks to all who compassionately cared for them.
Sam is survived by his wife, Muriel; daughter, Suzanne Day; brothers, Sebastian (wife Francis) and Frank; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Alita Darcy; his parents, Paolo, and Stefanie; sisters, Connie Medows, Grace Viator, Mary Sawyer, Jennie Laidlaw, and brother, Philip.
A Graveside Service will be held at Beech Grove Cemetery, Rockport on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 12noon.
