Peter E. Murray Sr. Obituary
Peter E. Murray Sr., 64, of Rockport passed unexpectedly but peacefully at home Tuesday Nov. 8th, 2022.
Peter was born in Beverly on December 8th, 1957, son of the late Robert Murray and June (Ellis) Murray.
Peter Graduated Rockport High School in 1977.
After graduating Peter had experiences on Broadway, pursuing his lifelong love of music and theatre. Peter enlisted in the US Army in 1991 serving until 1993 after suffering injuries rendering him disabled.
Peter loved Rockport, spending time with his many friends including Greg Chiancola, Cliff Bannon, Greg Dann, Fred Blachford, Jim Pepe, Greg Osmond and many more. They would have legendary parties and adventures together that are still talked about today.
Peter also loved traveling, not only all over the US, but going abroad to Germany, France, United Kingdom, Austria, Switzerland and his favorite country of all, Italy. He loved to experience different cultures and all they had to offer, bringing these life experiences home to share with his family and friends.
Peter wasn't one to leave anything unsaid, he constantly shared with his family and friends his constant love, being there at a moment's notice to help those he cared for most. He leaves a legacy of determination, and unconditional love with us, having taught his children the values to be kind, generous, loving, and brave.
Peter is survived by his son Peter Murray Jr. of Gloucester, daughter Kylah Brackett of Rockport and his three grandchildren Gianna, Kevin, and Cameron Brackett. Son Matthew Greige of Gloucester, His son Branden Greige of Silverhill, Alabama. His soulmate and Mother of his children Mary Greige of Rockport. His brother Robert Murray of Rockport, brother-in-law Arthur Bernier of Essex. He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Arthur, Alexander, Lauren, Kascia, and Zoë.
