Kenneth W. Rose Obituary
Kenneth Webber Rose, 73, of Rockport, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a heroic battle on Saturday, April 20, 2024. He was the devoted husband of Karen L. (Munroe) Rose.
Born in Gloucester on July 27, 1950, he was the son of the late Frank Rose Jr. and Ellen Clary Webber.
He was raised and educated in Gloucester and graduated from Gloucester High School in 1969. Kenneth began his career as the co-owner of Union Rapid Transportation, followed by employment at Gloucester Engineering before he became the General Manager/EMT for Beauport Ambulance until his retirement.
Growing up he was a member of the Riverdale Drum and Bugle Corps along with an avid hockey player and continued playing into adulthood. His second passion was playing golf where he was a member of the Rockport Golf Club. He was also an avid New England Patriots fan.
He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer Artuso and her husband Emerson of Pepperell and Lindsay Bergeron and her husband Curt of W. Newbury, 3 loving grandchildren, Marlon Artuso, Logan Bergeron, and Brody Bergeron and his beloved boy, Benji (canine) and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, James Rose and his sisters, Sharron Corriveau and Cynthia Amaral.
His funeral service will be celebrated at St. Paul Lutheran church, 1123 Washington St., Gloucester, on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 11a.m. Burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery, Rockport. Visitation will be held at Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester, on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, from 4-7p.m.
