Karen M. Taber Obituary
Karen M. Taber, loving wife of Gary F. Taber, peacefully passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Karen was born on January 28, 1949, and was a lifelong resident of Rockport, MA. She attended Rockport Public Schools, graduating in the class of 1966. Karen was involved in a number of town activities over the years but particularly enjoyed her time with the Recreation Committee. In later years, Karen became an avid golfer and enjoyed many rounds with Gary and their friends. She also dearly loved spending time with "The Gang" up in New Hampshire. Karen was also known throughout Cape Ann for the incredible cakes she made.
In addition to her husband of 57 years, Gary, of Rockport, Karen is survived by her three daughters, Merri Foote and her husband Mark, Stephanie Taber, and Caitlin Taber all of Rockport; her grandchildren, Jessica Movalli, Kristine Movalli, Michael Foote and his wife Alison, Mark Foote Jr, Marissa Foote, and Anthony Enderle, and her great granddaughter, Lainey Foote. She is also survived by her siblings, Patricia Rowe of Gloucester, Donald Rowe Jr. and his wife Adair of Michigan, Michelle Smith and her husband George of New Hampshire, and Glenn Rowe and his wife Debra of Tennessee. Karen is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and especially her life-long best friend, Terry Francis, of Rockport and special family friend, Pam Arnold, of Beverly.
Karen was predeceased by her parents, Donald G. Rowe, and Dorothy (Day) Rowe of Rockport and her sister Donna (Fuller) Bouchie.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Beech Grove Cemetery at 11:00 am. A celebration of life will follow at the Rockport Community House on Broadway. All are welcome to attend.
