John H. Anderson III Obituary

We sorrowfully announce the passing of John Anderson, 70, of Rockport, MA. John's impressive and storied life peacefully ended at home surrounded by loving family and cherished dog shortly after a cancer diagnosis.

John, a Rockport native, traveled the world throughout his career and was moved by the cultures he experienced. After residing in Western and Southern states for many years, John and his family returned to Rockport so Kailey, their daughter, could grow up in the same community he did.

Humble about his professional and personal accomplishments alike, John garnered utmost joy and pride from his family. He will forever be adoringly loved and tenderly remembered as a supportive, kind, generous, devoted, cherished father and husband. The impact John made on those closest to him is a testament to his quality of character.

John is predeceased by his parents, John H. Anderson, Jr. and Rose M.(Padre). Leal and is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kim M. (Adamsen) Anderson; daughter, Kailey E. (Anderson) Mountain; son-in-law, Jared Mountain; sister, Julie (Anderson) Bubar; her four children and their spouses, Sean and Shelby Ketchopulos, Chad and Leah Ketchopulos, Dustin Ketchopulos, Shayna and John Trupiano, and her husband John Bubar as well as John's devoted rescue dog, Gracie. John, a life-long animal lover, is now reunited with his predeceased beloved dogs, Barkus, Purdy, Tazz, and Jesse.

In honor of John's request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cape Ann Animal Aid, 4 Paws Lane, Gloucester, MA 01930 in celebration of John's life would be deeply appreciated.
