He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, B. Chester Waddell and Nancy Burbank Carlson; his son Matthew James Waddell; his siblings, William B. Waddell, Joan Smith (Don) and Bonnie Graham (John); and his sister-in-law Sue Waddell. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jim's memory to the educational fund of his grandson, for whom he had the highest of hopes and dreams.
