Edward E. Thompson Jr. Obituary

Edward Earl Thompson Jr., 43, of Rockport, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 27, 2024.

He was born in Kinston, NC on May 24, 1981, son of Edward Thompson and Gwen Brown Thompson. He worked as an Aviation Maintenance Technician for Jet Blue Airlines in Boston, MA. He enjoyed working on his truck and motorcycle, grilling out, listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his son, Ryan Thompson; his mother, Gwen Brown Thompson; his sister, Wendy Thompson; his brother, Edward Smith; his life partner, Patricia Smith; his aunt Andrea G. Brown, and many other loving family and friends.

He was predeceased by his father Edward Thompson and his Uncle William Earl Brown.

Visiting hours will be held at the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St., Gloucester, MA, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, from 5PM to 7PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to: The Cape Ann Animal Aid Association, 4 Paws Lane, Gloucester, MA 01930.
