David A. Cunha Sr. Obituary
David A. Cunha Sr., 74, of Rockport, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Salem Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 27, 1946, in Gloucester to the late Earl and Linda Cunha. A lifelong Pigeon Cove resident who attended Rockport schools. David was employed for many years in manufacturing and later self-employed as an antique dealer. David is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra "Sandy" (Bradford) Cunha. High school sweethearts who enjoyed a lifetime of love and raising a family together. David and Sandy enjoyed going on adventures and road-trips to the horse races and flea markets. In his retirement years he enjoyed daily walks at Halibut Point State Park and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his best friend and wife Sandy, he is survived by his son David Cunha Jr. and wife Tracey of New Hampshire. Daughter Lisa Locke and Husband Ron of Salisbury. Daughter Heather Koller and husband Paul of Gloucester. Eight grandchildren, Alyssa Locke, Stephanie and Ryan Orlando. Kyle and Lexi Cunha. Kalyn, Heidi, and Sarah Koller. Two great grandchildren, Norman and Vincent Orlando. David was also near and dear to his late sister, Faye Anderson and her husband Robert.
In keeping with David's request there will be no formal services.
